From the Founders

As parents and educators, we believe children deserve more than dates and names. They deserve stories that place them in the moments that shaped our nation—moments of courage, sacrifice, doubt, and resolve. When young people come to know the men and women who bore the cost of freedom, gratitude naturally follows. And with gratitude comes responsibility.

Our letters are designed to slow the reader down, invite reflection, and spark meaningful conversation within families. They are meant to help parents teach not only what happened in our nation’s past, but why it matters—and why each generation has a duty to preserve, strengthen, and pass on what was so dearly bought.

We believe the torch of freedom is not passed automatically. It is passed deliberately—through remembrance, learning, and example. Our work exists to help families do exactly that.
